Number 72

Sir Arturo Mercieca Street, Sliema, Malta

Number 72 is a small high-end residential development located in the resort town of Sliema in Malta, which is home to many shopping centres, restaurants, and cafeterias. This development consists of five very large apartments with an underlying interconnected garage holding five car spaces.

Initially bought as an unconverted house in a dilapidated state, this property has been transformed by Scicluna Developments into five high-end fully-furnished residential units, designed to blend in with the existing house facade, through the use of traditional materials both externally and internally.

The common area, which includes the stairwell and steel railing, was designed in a way to complement and respect the architecture of the house. The steel railing was designed and manufactured using traditional forging methods typically used in traditional Maltese houses.

Each apartment consists of a large open-plan lounge, kitchen, and dining room, two double bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, a guest toilet, a spacious hall in which there is a sofa bed, a good-sized terrace at the back and a good-sized terrace or a traditional wooden balcony at the front. The ground floor apartment has a very spacious backyard.

This project, which was fully completed in 2022, is situated in a quiet residential street, just a one-minute walk from the seafront promenade. These apartments were designed and fully furnished by Scicluna Developments up to very high standards. They have a fully-equipped kitchen with all the appliances, a washing machine, best quality furniture, and air-conditioning units throughout each unit.
